Westminster Woods Summer Camp, Camp Soulspring, invites Summer Staff alumni and supporters with theological backgrounds or a passion for fostering spiritual growth to volunteer this summer! As a Spiritual Paths Volunteer, you are an integral part of our campers’ faith journeys, providing guidance, support, and a safe space for exploration and dialogue.

Why be a Spiritual Paths Volunteer at Camp Soulspring?

As a volunteer at Camp Soulspring, you’ll have the opportunity to join the magic of camp, inspire the next generation of spiritual leaders, and make a lasting impact on the sacred journeys of young campers. You’ll be part of a community of wide-ranging individuals dedicated to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and transformative experience for all involved. Given the diverse religious backgrounds of our campers, you will foster a welcoming environment where they can explore a path that resonates with them, supporting their growth as they engage with the social justice teachings of Jesus. Come, lead by example, and guide campers on their path of spiritual formation.

If you’re ready to contribute to the soul of Westminster Woods and help shape the future of faith for our campers, we’d love to have you join our team!

Volunteer Responsibilities

1. Lead Golden Paths Every Morning
As a Spiritual Paths Volunteer, you will offer campers the opportunity to explore Christianity in a way that aligns with their passions and beliefs. Golden Paths are interactive, flexible spiritual activities designed to guide campers in their personal faith development. Given the diverse religious backgrounds of our campers, you will foster a welcoming environment where they can explore a path that resonates with them, supporting their growth as they engage with the social justice teachings of Jesus.

2. Share Testimonies During Paradigms
Paradigms are nightly conversations where campers are invited to reflect and share their thoughts, joys, and concerns in a safe and judgment-free space. As a volunteer, you will contribute by sharing your own testimony of the evening’s prompt, offering personal insight, and creating a warm and welcoming environment for campers.

3. Lead Communion (If Ordained)
If you are an ordained volunteer, you will have the opportunity to lead communion during Camp Soulspring’s services, offering a sacred space for campers to engage in this important Christian practice.

4. Behind-the-Scenes Support
Volunteers will also assist with the logistics of camp life, helping to create an organized and smooth-running camp experience for both campers and staff. This may include administrative tasks, setting up spaces for activities, and supporting the camp’s daily operations.
