A Day at the Woods is your invitation to slow down and immerse yourself in the spirit of Westminster Woods — a place where community, connection, and nature come together. Set beneath the towering redwoods, this event offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where you’re free to come and go as you please. It's a celebration of what we do here at The Woods. Whether you’re joining us for the peaceful morning meditation, exploring the trails, cheering on friends on the Challenge Course, listening to the music in the afternoon or just enjoying a conversation under the trees, this day is about pausing the hustle and embracing togetherness. You might even find yourself gathering around the grill with our Executive Director Chris, who’s cooking up lunch for all who want to share a meal. In a world that can feel rushed and disconnected, A Day at the Woods offers something simple but powerful: a chance to be with one another, to laugh, to reflect, and to reconnect — with nature, with community, and with yourself.

Proceeds from this day help support Westminster Woods' mission of providing transformative outdoor experiences for youth — helping the next generation grow in confidence, curiosity, and care for the world around them.

What You’ll Experience:

🌲 Live Music – Enjoy performances from local artists coming together to jam under the redwoods

🍔 BBQ Lunch – Our very own Executive Director, Chris Rhodes, will be behind the grill serving up hot dogs, burgers, and veggie burgers (with sides and snacks included!).

🌀 Labyrinth Walk – Slow down with a guided walk through our peaceful labyrinth, surrounded by the natural beauty of the woods.

🌟 Inspire – A playful, interactive zone designed to spark imagination and joy in children of all ages — storytelling, sensory fun, and surprise activities await!

🎨 Craft Shack – Let your creativity run wild! This hands-on area is full of art projects and activities for kids (and kids at heart).

🐞 Kid Zone – A vibrant hub of games, crafts, and outdoor play where kiddos can experience the joy of our camp and the beautiful redwoods.

🎟️ Raffle – Enter to win prizes that highlight the best of Sonoma County, generously donated by local businesses.
